John was wondering about this because he had just received a Blu-ray movie as a gift for the holidays from his family. I was there setting up John’s fancy new notebook computer that just happened to have a Blu-Ray player. Since this was a vacation home for John and he didn't watch many movies I didn’t recommend him purchasing a new Blu-Ray player, especially since he always has his notebook with him.
Since John had a high definition television with an HDMI port that was not being used, I plugged in an HDMI cable from the T.V. to the notebook and played his Blu-ray movie through his notebook onto his television. It definitely looked much better than in his non-upconverting DVD player. John was convinced now about the hype.
You too can use your notebook to watch Blu-ray movies if you have a built-in Blu-ray player with an HDMI port, HDMI cable, and a high-definition television. Questions? Please give me a call at 602-443-0073 and I'll be happy to help.
